My general fields of interest include theoretical biology, evolutionary biology, plant population biology, behavioral ecology, pollination biology, population and community, ecology, and ecological genetics.

My specific research interests are: (1) the experimental and mathematical analysis of animal cognition, learning and memory, and their relationship to ecological performance and problem-solving; (2) the pollination and floral ecology of specialist and generalist pollinated plants in tropical and temperate forests; and (3) the ecology and evolution of host/pathogen interactions within spatially heterogenous and substructured populations.
