Research Interests: I'm interested in the development of computational modeling tools and techniques, especially those applicable to neuronal models. I'm currently developing a version of the multi-compartmental model of the globus pallidus neuron designed by our lab for simulation on a field programmable gate array, a high performance simulation platform. Upon completion, this model could be used for real time or faster applications, including dynamic clamp and long term plasticity studies. In the future, I plan to continue my research in high performance simulation tools as well as methods for the study and analysis of complex computational neuronal models.
